Presentation 16h00-16h30- Solid for company data sharing – The Onto-DESIDE use case

  • Els de Vleeschauwer, Researcher Semantic Web, imec-IDLab-UGent
  • Abstract: Although commonly assumed to be focused on personal data, the Solid protocols are generic enough to handle use cases that cover any kind of data, whilst keeping all its benefits (i.e. decentralized data control whilst allowing interoperable data sharing). In this presentation, we will introduce the Onto-DESIDE use case: a Horizon Europe project where European companies share (product and supply chain) data with trusted partners to create a circular value network. We will show how the current Solid protocols are applied to securely share parts of a company’s data to increase circularity without diminishing individual companies’ competitive advantages.
